U3A ART PAINTING
At present there are 2 groups of six each meeting once a month for tuition in my home. I arrange a drawing challenge with pen, paint or pencil. To begin with, I teach the basics of colour-mixing and colour washes, developing to pen and wash. Projects, often ideas from the magazine Leisure Painter, are begun in the group and worked at home.
I encourage members to develop in their own style and medium when painting whilst teaching the essentials of good drawing practice. Recently we have started to meet for an extra two sessions a month for social painting in members conservatories.
