Books B

Books B started in 1998 and since then members have read over 100 books by a wide variety of authors. The members choose the books and take turns to introduce the book of the month. It is very rare that every member likes (or dislikes) the month's book so we have some spirited discussions. We read a variety of books including modern novels, biography and classics.

The group meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 2.15 in a member's house. After discussing the book we have tea and biscuits and a chat, often about what other books we are reading. Members contribute 20p towards the host's costs for tea.
