U3A Duffers Golf
It is now nearly 2 years since the Golf Group was formed and we now have 2 Groups. When the first group reached a membership of 29 it became impossible to take any more members so we have recently created a second group which can accept new members. The first group play 9 holes every Thursday morning at Billingbear Park Golf Course and the second group plays at the same course but on Thursday afternoons with tee times starting at 13.30. Our principle aim, which we always achieve, is to really enjoy our weekly outing and if we play well that ís an added bonus!
After we have played there is always time for a coffee (or even a beer!) and a good old chat about the high and low points of the morning's (first group) or afternoon's (second group) round.
