and was very interesting
An organised tour of Clarence House
A trip to the Museum of Garden History in Lambeth and
included in this for those that want to go on is a tour of the Florence
Nightingale Museum which re-opens in May or early Summer.
A river cruise through the Dutch Bulb Fields in April
The Boat Race
Visit to The Spike - the Paupers Prison in Guildford
The Foundling Museum at Brunswick
Square
Plus we've had a couple of lunches at The Orchid Room,
Thames Valley University, plus other
lunches
Treasure Hunts and Quizzes coming up
Our Jazz lovers go to Norden Farm regularly
Wine Tasting organised by one of our members
Walks
A visit to Denis Severs House in Spitalfields -
good to do that on a Sunday. A bus from Waterloo takes you
straight there and there's the market, plenty of places to eat plus a visit to
the artist's home
We saw The Globe Players in the park at South Hill Park - excellent
Many of our group have an interest in theatre, so
we've been to a number of concerts and plays, tending to go to local theatres -
Newbury, Guildford, etc.
Walking tours of London with a Blue
Badge guide are very popular and we've done a number of them.
In the summer we play Petanque regularly
