Stately Homes Group
This group, which started in November 2011, meets monthly, on the third Thursday afternoon of each month. We make 3-4 actual visits to stately homes each year. At our other meetings, we prepare for these visits by individual members “researching” different aspects of each property and then reporting back to the group, eg the family, the architecture, art or furniture of the house. The group meets in members’ homes and everyone is free to go on as many or as few visits as they wish.
