Technology
The Computer Topics and Technology Groups were amalgamated and renamed as it was often found that topics discussed actually covered the areas of interest of both groups. The "Computers and" was subsequently dropped from the name
Computers covered all aspects of computing ranging from 'How do we use software applications' to the application of computers to systems which may range from washing machines to air traffic control.
Technology subjects have embraced various methods of converting natural energy, wind, tides and sun into usable energy, e.g. electricity. In the past we have discussed what are now almost common devices such as navigation systems and an update on these are now overdue. Development of manufacturing techniques are also covered.
If you are interested in how things work and improve our everyday life then the Technology Group is for you.
