This long-established group meets in the upper hall of the Woosehill
Community Centre on the first Wednesday afternoon of the month, with a
break in the summer.

We have a rolling programme consisting mainly of presentations by group
members, based on their own travel experiences. Destinations covered are
very diverse, and we try to maintain a balance between long-haul,
exotic, and places nearer to home, and to have a variety of style of
trip. We also try to include some meetings on travel-related topics
rather than a destination, and to allow time for discussion and

The presentations and informal atmosphere always seem to stimulate much
interest and a lively response from the floor. So, if you enjoy travel
(even the armchair sort) and would like to get together with other
like-minded people why not join us. The group does have quite a large
membership but not everyone comes every time and newcomers are always
welcome. So if you are interested in coming along for a taster or would
