What the Papers Say
Due to a high level of interest, we have two “What the Papers Say” groups. They first met in the summer of 2011. Members meet on a monthly basis to discuss and compare a wide range of stories that are covered in our national newspapers.
Members buy specific papers on a rota basis in order to be able to consider the different styles of reporting. Meetings are held in members’ homes.
Each of these groups operates separately but, from time to time, they join together in a different venue to “compare notes” or for an outing, or to hear a speaker.
Our meeting times are:-
Monday Group:-
the morning of the 3rd Monday of the month
Wednesday Group:- the afternoon of the 4th Wednesday of the month
For the Monday group, enquiries should come to Patsy Thornton 01344 774812 patsy@thorntac.co.uk For the Wednesday group, the convenor is Elizabeth Hodgson 0118 969 3052 elizabeth.hodgson959@btinternet.com.
At the time of writing, the Wednesday group has 2 vacancies.
