World Music
A newly-formed group meeting monthly in members' homes (usually 4th Wed. pm) to listen to a broad range of music from around the world. To enhance our appreciation we explore the background to the music, the musicians and their musical instruments
Our programme so far includes Cape Verde and the Canary Islands, Middle Eastern and Gipsy music, but see diary page for latest up-dates
Making use of members' own collections, meetings are informal and relaxed in style, planning ahead as we go. No previous knowledge needed - just enthusiasm and interest
