Woolcraft "2"

Woolcraft "2" have been meeting for over a year in the afternoon of the 2nd Monday of the month.
We are a small group and meet in each others houses on a rota basis
We all have an interest in crafts and most of us dabble in a variety of textiles be it embroidery, cross stitch, patchwork or sewing.
However, our group meeting focuses on needles and crochet hooks and wool products.

Our skill level varies from beginner to improver, though non of us are experts. We help each other when we can and it is great to have someone of whom to ask advice about patterns, stitches or design.
We started with a communal project of a wall-hanging ( see attachment) that we could all contribute to. It was very satisfying to see our knitted or crocheted piece assembled into a picture worthy of wall space, though we have yet to decide on it's final resting place!!
Following the ethos of the U3A we try to include new skills to learn or improve and we are delighted to hear the media say that there is a surge of interest in knitting amongst the young as well as old!
Our last meeting concentrated on teaching ourselves to crochet although most of us have some project, large or small that we can bring along if we want to just knit and natter.
We would welcome one or two new members, both beginners and those who would like to share their skills with our members.
Phone me to confirm the meeting place and come for a taster
