Group Description

The Industrial Heritage Group has a focus on industrial history presentations and our members are encouraged to research industrial topics which interest them, with the aim to present their work to the group.

Despite the current restrictions, the group recently made a visit to the de-Havilland Museum; a brief report on the trip can be found here.

The Industrial Heritage group has been operating for many years and has covered a wide variety of industrial history topics and several industrial heritage visits over that time – please see our list of past activities.

We have an industrial history speaker presentation on the second Thursday of the month at 1:55pm during the winter months.  Recent talks have covered:

  • From Croydon to Heathrow presented by Robin Edwards, click here for a synopsis.
  • London Bridge – Gateway to London for 2000 years presented by Doug Irvine, click here for a synopsis.

We welcome new members who would like to get involved in the group’s activities. To be included on the IHG member list, please contact the convenor using the “Contact this group” button on the right of this page.
