What the Papers Say 3 started in January 2014.
Members meet on a monthly basis to discuss and compare a wide range of stories that are covered in our national newspapers. Members buy specific papers on a rota basis in order to be able to consider the different styles of reporting. On the Friday prior to the meeting each member buys a different paper on a rota basis. Sometimes we discuss one main topic as it appears in all the papers. We also discuss and explore a wide range of newspaper topics and we do have quite a few laughs.
Meetings are held in members’ homes.
Due to a high level of interest there are now a number of “What the Papers Say” groups. Each of these groups operates separately but, from time to time, they join together in a different venue to “compare notes” or for an outing, or to hear a speaker.
