After a career in education in the field of maths, and seeing retirement on the horizon, Colin began to study art history through courses at the Victoria and Albert museum. In 2005 he became a volunteer guide at the V&A, which he still does. He has been giving illustrated talks to a variety of groups including U3A, Historical Associations groups and guides at the V&A museum. He currently presents art history courses to the Workers Educational Association WEA groups.
Women artists faced challenges due to gender biases in the mainstream fine art world. This talk promises to be very enlightening.
