Ruth has kindly agreed to do a re-run of her talk, Morale in World War Two as we had a large number of members we couldn’t accommodate when she gave this talk earlier this year.
The talk originally intended to be about the Entertainments National Service Organisation (ENSA) and the effect it had on improving morale during World War Two. However, when she started to research the topic, Ruth became so interested in the question of morale generally, why it was considered so important and some of the methods used to improve morale that it gradually transformed into an entirely different talk, though ENSA does still figure in it somewhere! Please join us to find out more about this intriguing topic.
Ruth is a long-standing member of our U3A and the Convener of two of our Groups, Writing for Pleasure and one of our Book Groups. There will be no charge for this meeting.
If you are interested in hearing this talk register now by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Once your booking is confirmed, you will be sent instructions on how to join the meeting.
