Monthly Meeting: 40 Years of catching Smugglers – Malcolm Nelson

Date and time: 16th February 2021 from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm

Cost: £2.00

Malcolm worked for HM Customs & Excise for 40 years. He was mainly based at Heathrow but he also spent time at London Port, Dover, St Petersburg (Russia), Malta, and at most major airports throughout the EU.  He is credited with seizing the largest quantity of drugs by weight ever found in a single suitcase.  In what promises to be an insightful talk, we will learn how people who swallow drugs as means of concealment are detected and brought to justice.

Tickets Cost £2.00 per household/link and must paid for in advance by Online Bank Transfer or at your Bank Branch.  Please let me know if you would like to attend but don’t do online banking.  If you have a credit owing this will be used in lieu of payment.

To apply for tickets for this talk, please email Speakerssec@wokinghamu3a.org.uk before 9th February.  You will then be sent details of how to make payment.

Your booking will only be confirmed once payment is received and you will be sent instructions on how to join the meeting.  Payment is non-refundable in the event of non-attendance.

Once your booking is confirmed, you will be sent instructions on how to join the meeting.

I hope this talk, which you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home, will be of interest to you and will tempt you to join in our Speaker Meetings if you haven’t already done so it’s a great way to keep in touch.
