Graham Scholey, MBE will present The Wildlife and Ecology of the River Thames
Graham Scholey, works for the Environment Agency and in 2004 received an MBE for services to Conservation and the Environment.
In this fully illustrated talk he will put the wildlife of the freshwater Thames in the context of the historic management and modifications to the river, identifying some of the current pressures on the wildlife of the river and how these are being addressed. He will highlight some of the key components and how the river functions as an ecosystem. Some of the main wildlife features of the river will be discussed, both the more obvious species and those hidden under the water.
