This is Alastair’s second visit to Wokingham U3A. Last time he gave us a wonderful talk about his life with the BBC World Service. This time his talk is about the use of Oxford as background for filming, such as in the Morse and Lewis programmes.
Alastair studied history at Oxford University, taught in India, worked in publishing in New York and then joined the BBC. He worked for the BBC World Service for over 26 years as a presenter, producer and editor, finally becoming Head of Productions. In the course of his work he travelled widely and met many fascinating people.
Alastair has also worked for Oxford University and is presently a guide to the University and City of Oxford.
