‘The Contrast between Harmony & Invention’

St John’s Smith Square invites U3A members to a special event which will explore the 18th-century context of this superb concert hall and the harmony and invention of Vivaldi’s masterpiece.
The day begins with the Director of St John’s Smith Square, Richard Heason, discussing the unique history of this musical and architectural landmark. This is followed by a sandwich lunch in the cript, concert performed by La Serenissima, and concludes with a talk by their director Adrian Chandler.
Tickets: £25 per person
Includes two talks, lunch and the concert. Seating unreserved.

Tickets will be issued on a first-come first-served basis. Individual bookings only. Maximum 40 places. Should you not be able to attend, we cannot refund ticket money but may be able to offer your place to another U3A member if there is a waiting list.
